iRULE PARCOURS merino performance T
I will confess that the first three days I had the new PARCOURS performance T from i-RULE I just wore it to the office as I was not sure what to do with it. It’s immaculate looking ( for an outdoors product ) and smooth as silk on so I really had no clue what to do with it so I wore it as my programming T. On that front as a neo-nerd fashion statement it was a raging success but it wasn’t until I ran in at lunch time around a local forest track ( 6km ) that I started to “get it”.
The shirt is made of a soft, light merino lycra which means it moves well with the body and retains its shape after washing and or running in the wet. Crucially, it also proffers that amazing natural thermo regulation quality of fine merino; it kept me at a constant temperature mid run and cooling down; no clammy chills.
What was very different and particularly noticeable as the thermometer climbed was the effectiveness of the so-called
T BONE vent panel at the back of the shirt which is made of some pretty amazing new fabric called merino-mesh (again with a splash of lycra in it). This design portion acts to accelerate cooling in the hottest areas of your back that require additional venting but without over reaching mositure loss.
The D-YOKEL pattern of the shirt makes for fantastic freedom of movement when running and climbing - I used the
PARCOURS for trail running and indoor climbing as well as gym work. It’s now got a real slot with me as the cross training, park running, quick bike ride and go to event T.
By all accounts the female version to be known as the TRACEUSE is close to completion. No don’t ask me what the French influence is all about!? Certainly, the PARCOURS is something that is a little out there’ in terms of i-RULE norms as they have long been obsessed with packing more and more functionality into their endurance line and pushing the envelope by way of high tech fabrics. This sweet T is memorable for its instant comfort, easy wear and multi-uses. Sometimes less is more.
